UNIT
Bounded execution begins with a distinguishable element.
A UNIT is an executable element constituted with sufficient capability to perform a bounded operation.
Its scale does not define it.
A unit may be mechanical, material, computational, biological, or composite. What matters is that its operation remains distinguishable from the field upon which it acts.
CAPABILITY ≠ AUTHORITY
The unit does not complete what the specification leaves unresolved.
It does not infer a material property merely because execution requires one.
It acts only to the resolution the constituted specification supports.
UNKNOWN ≠ AVAILABLE FOR INVENTION
A unit may remain prepared without presently operating.
READINESS ≠ EXECUTION
When multiple units enter coordinated relation, the unit does not disappear.
